![]() David Kreiner, MD FACOG| Medical Director
David Kreiner completed his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship in 1987 at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, the IVF team that pioneered the technology of In Vitro Fertilization in the U.S. He has received several national awards recognizing his achievements in IVF research. Dr. Kreiner was named Assistant Professor at the Jones Institute, Medical College of Hampton Roads where he rose to become Director of the Embryo Cryopreservation program, the Laser Laparoscopy program and the Donor Egg program. As an IVF attending during these formative years of IVF, he obtained the depth of experience shared by few in the field. In 1988, Dr. Kreiner established and became Director of Long Island IVF. He personally achieved the first successful IVF, cryo and donor egg pregnancies on Long Island. He was named recipient of the prestigious Teddy Roosevelt Award in 1993 in recognition for his achievements in advancing the standards of infertility care in the region. He was honored again in 2006 by the Mid Island Y and again in 2007 by the American Fertility Association and noted for his pioneering efforts at maximizing success while minimizing risk with IVF. To date, he has performed the most successful IVFs on Long Island. In an effort to offer a more personalized practice with more direct contact with his patients, he has established East Coast Fertility - KreinerIVF on Long Island. |
![]() Joseph Peña, MD FACOG
Joseph Peña graduated with a B.S. Degree in Biology, summa cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He was recipient of the prestigious Roland Walker Prize for “outstanding academic achievement and promise of a successful career”. Dr. Peña received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the esteemed oldest hospital in the United States, Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, where he also served as Administrative Chief Resident. He returned to New York to complete his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was such an impressive fellow that he was offered the position of Assistant Professor at the highly regarded Center for Women’s Reproductive Care at Columbia University. ![]() Gregory Zapantis, MD FACOG
Dr. Zapantis graduated with a B.S. degree in Physiology from the University of Toronto. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Zapantis then completed his Ob/Gyn residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he received the Berlex Teaching Award. This was followed by a return to AECOM for his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, where he remained as an attending following fellowship until proudly joining East Coast Fertility in 2005. Dr. Zapantis is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition to a busy practice focusing on Fertility, in-vitro fertilization, pregnancy loss, and reproductive endocrinology, he continues to pursue the investigation of implantation markers of the human endometrium. At ECF, “I strive to provide highly individualized care and emotional support while incorporating the use of the latest medical advances in our field to help my patients achieve their family building goals.” |
![]() Michael Zinger, MD FACOG
Dr. Zinger earned a B.A. with honors from Brandeis University. He then went on to receive an M.D. with Special Distinction for Research in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Dr. Zinger completed residency in Ob/Gyn at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset followed by fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Cincinnati under Dr. Robert Rebar, the Director of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In 2002, Dr. Zinger was awarded the Senior Fellow’s Award for outstanding research by the Endocrine Society. He headed the IVF program at Edward Hospital for six years before proudly joining East Coast Fertility. Dr. Zinger is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as Ob/Gyn. “What makes my career fulfilling is to be able to bring a very personal element of care to treatment that combines success with the safest approaches available.” |
![]() Allison Styne-Gross, MD FACOG
Dr. Allison Styne-Gross is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and board eligible reproductive endocrinologist who has completed extensive research in many areas of reproductive medicine with special expertise in assisted reproduction, polycystic ovarian syndrome and treating recurrent pregnancy loss. Previously, she was with Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey where she gained further expertise in advanced reproductive techniques. Dr. Styne-Gross completed her fellowship at Emory University. During her training, she focused on advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, and microsurgical techniques. She completed her residency at the New York University School of medicine and earned her MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is the author of several scientific publications ranging from polycystic ovarian syndrome to ovarian reserve screening. “Undergoing treatment for infertility is a very emotional experience and I try not only to provide my patients with the appropriate medical care, but provide an understanding and empathy as if they were my own friend or family member.” She sees patients in Plainview, Manhasset and Hewlett. |
![]() John Moschella is a board-certified laboratory director who brings more than 18 years of embryology experience to the practice. During his career, John established one of the first successful micromanipulation programs for ICSI and assisted hatching on Long Island. He has been instrumental in advancing lab techniques to improve IVF success rates. John received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from SUNY Stony Brook. He is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the American Association of Bioanalysts. His pioneering work in embryo selection and cumulus cell co-culture is responsible for making East Coast Fertility's lab one of the most successful in the nation. |
